Seasonal Full-Time Tour Guide at Volo Museum

Schedule: Wednesday to Sunday, 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM (June, July, and August)Volo Museum is seeking enthusiastic and dynamic individuals to join our team as Seasonal Full-Time Tour Guides. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage with visitors while driving a trackless train or other tour vehicle within the museum property. Responsibilities:

• Conduct guided tours for visitors, providing engaging and informative commentary about the exhibits and artifacts.
• Operate a trackless train or other designated tour vehicle in a safe and professional manner.
• Interact with guests in a friendly and entertaining manner, incorporating storytelling, humor, and improvisation to enhance the tour experience.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of tour participants throughout the duration of the tour.
• Assist with crowd management and visitor inquiries as needed.

Requirements:

• Positive attitude and outgoing personality.
• Previous acting experience or experience in a customer-facing role preferred.
• Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
• Ability to entertain and engage audiences of all ages.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have a good driving record.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Physical ability to operate tour vehicles and perform duties related to the role.

Additional Information:

• This is a seasonal full-time position, with the possibility of extension through December with a different schedule.
• Training will be provided to successful candidates.
